* I am a member of the `Python Software Foundation
  <http://www.python.org/psf>`__, nominated in 2003.  Since February
  2006 I have been the Secretary of the PSF, and Assistant Secretary
  before that.  I was a Director of the Foundation for 3 years (2006
  to 2009).  I contribute to the `PSF News blog
  <http://pyfound.blogspot.com/>`__.

* Ever since I attended my first `PyCon <../pycon/>`_ in 2004 I have
  helped out, more each year.  I was the Chair of PyCon 2008 & 2009 in
  Chicago.
